Artist Statement

As a student of the arts I feel as though this class has progressed me however I feel as though this class isn’t for me. Over the course of this class it has taught me very valuable lessons in photography. Over this class I have churned out some rather good, in my mind, photos. Even with all this I wont be returning next semester to this class. It has been rough all semester with all this work and concussion and everything going on and this class has been a stressor that I cannot deal with. However I will pursue photography as a hobby on my own time throughout my life.

I make my descions on what photos to take by aligning what I want in the picture and what will be best whether is shows framing, rule of thirds, or movement and so on. I select materials that stand out to me, whether by color, or shape something that catches my eye. Aside from planned photography I really enjoy sports photography, with sports photography it was more getting the right moment than planning. You had to be very attentive.

My current work even just looking at my blog is a lot better than my previous work. The composition is better, the details are more defined, the colors look better, I got more interesting objects and did better on framing and showing movement. I am currently not exploring anything and will be taking a break from photography. But as a hobby I will later pursue this.

Holiday/Winter

Here are my Holiday/Winter pictures. Over the extended break due to snow days i was able to capture a couple of pictures that i thought seemed to embody the seasonal time of the year.
